Celebrating Mr Andrew Jelley – A Well-Earned Retirement

It is with a mixture of gratitude and sadness that we announce the retirement of Mr Andrew Jelley after more than 40 years of providing exceptional eye care to the communities of Bromyard and Tenbury Wells.

For decades, Andrew has been a trusted optometrist, helping generations of patients look after their vision with professionalism, kindness and expertise. This August, he will be officially hanging up his retinoscope to begin a well-deserved retirement.

While we'll certainly miss seeing Andrew in practice, we're delighted that Andrew Jelley Opticians will continue exactly as our patients know and trust.

Since opening in 1983, Andrew Jelley Opticians has proudly served the Bromyard and Tenbury Wells High Streets as a truly independent, family-run practice. Alex and Rebecca Lane became partners in 2016 before taking full ownership last year, ensuring the practice continues its long-standing commitment to personalised, high-quality eye care.

Our experienced dispensing opticians - Teresa Davies and Duncan Edwards - will continue to offer expert advice on frames and lenses, along with our long-term locum David Webley, helping every patient find the perfect solution for their vision and style.

In our consulting rooms, Alex and Rebecca will continue caring for patients alongside Emma Bracken, who joined the practice last year, and brings more than 20 years of optometry experience. They are also supported by our valued locum optometrist, Lucy Wicks.

Our dedicated front-of-house team – Ceri, Wendy, Ruth and Isobel – will continue to welcome you, whether over the phone or in-practice, helping to arrange your appointments and ensuring you receive the friendly, personal care we're known for.

So although Andrew is retiring, the friendly faces, independent values and outstanding service that have always defined Andrew Jelley Opticians will remain unchanged.

We'd like to thank Andrew for his decades of dedication, care and commitment to our communities. We know you'll join us in wishing him a long, happy and well-deserved retirement.
