The New Normal - How your visit to the practice may change
Contact us before making an appointment
We may still be operating a "locked door" policy
If you have any concerns about your vision, please contact the practice and we can discuss with you any problems you are having and arrange an appropriate appointment for you

Please note, if you have COVID symptoms, we will not be able to see you
Pre-appointment confirmation phonecall
We may call you before your appointment
This is to confirm the time of your appointment and check you are not symptomatic. If you’ve got an appointment booked, but you’re not feeling well or you have any COVID-19 symptoms, we’d ask that you don’t come in until you’re feeling better. We’ll make sure to arrange for a later date.
We strongly advise you attend all appointments on your own but if this is not possible, please inform our staff prior to attending.
Wait before entering
You may need to wait in our glass vestibules before entering the practice
We may need to confirm that the practice is ready before entering the practice.
Our team can greet you and explain any new arrangements that may be in place.

In our Tenbury Wells practice, you may be asked to enter via our garden entrance

Social Distancing measures will be in place
To aid social distancing there may be some changes to the usual seating arrangement
We also have seating available in our beautiful open air garden areas

Please try to attend appointments alone, if possible. If this is not possible please let a member of staff know.

We will be limiting the number of patients in the practices at any given time

Examinations
We will prioritise what tests need doing in the consulting rooms
Some elements of the eye examination may be conducted outside the consulting room. We can even do secure video- consultations from the comfort of your own home!

Our optometrists may contact you at home prior to your appointment to discuss any eye problems or symptoms you may be having
